Our Founder's Journey

The roots of Azalea trace back to the youthful ambition of Eunice Pamfile. In June 2000, at just 18 years old, Eunice embarked on a journey that would shape her life and the lives of countless seniors. Her early initiation into the world of adult care began in the family-owned Care Home Facility in Portland, Oregon, where she learned the intricacies of compassionate care under the mentorship of her mother. This period was not just about learning the ropes; it was a time of profound personal growth and the kindling of a lifelong passion for elder care.

Building a Legacy of Care

Eunice’s dedication and innate talent for caregiving quickly became evident. She was not just participating in the family business; she was redefining what it meant to provide care. In 2004, with years of experience already under her belt, Eunice took a significant step forward by opening her own Care Home Facility in Portland. This endeavor was a manifestation of her vision: a place where the elderly could receive not just care, but compassion, dignity, and a sense of belonging.

A Partnership of
Love and Care

The year 2005 marked a pivotal year for Eunice, both personally and professionally. It was the year she married her husband, Larry Pamfile, a supportive partner who shared her dedication to elder care. Together, they expanded their mission, opening a second Care Facility in West Linn, Oregon. Their partnership was more than a marital union; it was a joint commitment to enhancing the lives of the elderly.

A New Chapter in Georgia

In pursuit of a more family-friendly environment, they decided to relocate their family-owned business to foster a nurturing atmosphere for both personal and professional growth. This move was more than a change of location; it was a new chapter in their journey of care. With meticulous planning and unwavering dedication, Eunice and Larry designed Azalea Senior Care from the ground up. Every aspect of the facility reflects their extensive experience and deep understanding of what makes a care home truly exceptional.

  • What is a Personal Care Home?
A Personal Care Home (PCH) is a type of residential facility that provides assistance with daily living activities to individuals who need support but do not require the intensive medical care offered by nursing homes. Licensed by the state of Georgia, our facility specializes in addressing a wide range of care needs, including dementia, Parkinson's disease, diabetes management, wound care, feeding tube assistance, hospice services, and more. Our skilled team is dedicated to providing personalized care that caters to each resident's unique requirements, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
  • What is the difference between Assisted Living and Personal Care Home?
Assisted Living typically offers more independence and is suited for individuals who need some assistance with daily activities, such as medication management or bathing, but who do not require intensive medical care. Residents usually have their own apartments or rooms and access to communal spaces and services. Personal Care Homes, on the other hand, provide a higher level of assistance with daily tasks, including help with dressing, eating, and mobility. These homes are designed for individuals who may need more hands-on care and supervision in a residential setting. Personal Care Homes often offer a more structured environment with shared living spaces and more extensive support services.
  • How much does a PCH cost?
The total cost of a PCH varies and is contingent on the services determined upon consultation and assessment, due to the tailored and specific needs of the resident.
  • What is the consultation process like?
We initiate our streamlined process with a complimentary tour, followed by an evaluation of your loved one's care needs, and culminating in a post-move-in evaluation.
  • How can I move my loved one to a PCH?
Moving your loved one to a Personal Care Home involves several steps: 1. Research and Visit: Research Personal Care Homes in your area and schedule visits to find the best fit. 2. Assessment: Arrange for an assessment of your loved one's needs by the Personal Care Home. 3. Plan and Prepare: Create a plan for the move, including packing essentials and coordinating logistics. 4. Transition: We assist by organizing transportation arrangements for your loved one to their new home and settling them in. 5. Follow-up: Stay in touch with us to ensure your loved one is adjusting well, and address any concerns.
